After the popular goldfish, tropical freshwater fish are the next most popular with fish tanks being installed not only in the home but also in offices, hospitals, reception areas, doctors surgeries, dentists, etc etc

Our tropical section is continually expanding and over the coming months we shall be adding even more tropical fish - including rareties, oddballs and, indeed, some fish which may not have been seen at Fishworld for some time.

Just as humans require a varied diet, the same is required for fish. In addition to flake and/or pellet food we stock a variety of frozen foods. We also recommend feeding live food at least once a week such as bloodworm and/or daphnia - fresh supplies are delivered on a weekly basis.

For those hobbyists who prefer live plants we have a regular delivery each week. However, we would also remind customers that these plants are living and, as such, require food – just as both fish and their owners do! There are several reputable plant foods on the market - however, we recommend and stock Tetra's Plantamin or Crypto.

We shall also be extending our plant section in the near future to cater for those hobbyists who like to go that one step further with maintaining a planted aquarium. This will include not only a wider range of bunched plants but also potted plants and the various products required to keep them in the peak of condition.
